  Hawk - Mildred Irene (Terry) Hawk of Mitchell, IN, died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Mitchell Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Born April 19, 1914, in Martin County, IN, she was the daughter of Harry Lee and Ethel (Batchelor) Terry. On November 15, 1932, she married Carl M. Hawk and he died on February 26, 1988. Surviving are one daughter, Freida Hodges and her husband Bennie of Mitchell, IN; one grandson, Frank Hodges and his wife Carolyn of Mitchell, IN; one great-grandson, John S. Hodges of Mitchell, IN; one great-granddaughter, Erin Jo Hodges of Mitchell, IN; one sister, Maxine Wood and her husband Bob of Mitchell, IN; one brother, Glenn Terry and his wife Jeanine of Tulsa, OK; two sisters-in-law, Donna Terry of Corpus Christi, TX, and Bessie Terry of Mitchell, IN; one brother-in-law, Jesse Cochran of Fort Worth, TX; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Wilma Joanne Hawk, in infancy; one granddaughter, Cathy Ann Hodges, infancy; one sister, Virginia Cochran; and three brothers, Lester, Chester and Roy Terry. She graduated from Mitchell High School with the class of 1932. Early in her adult life, she was employed at Reliance Manufacturing in Mitchell. She worked as a tester at RCA in Bloomington, retiring in 1974 after 27 years of service. After retiring from RCA, she worked part-time at AgriPro Seeds in Mitchell. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Bedford. Services for Mildred Hawk will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29th, at Chastain Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Orleans. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
